From Ireland and based in San Francisco, this client was keen to support Irish design and commissioned a custom-made high table and stools, and added one our Jack-in-the-Box lamps also.
The steel frame was allowed to rust naturally to give an authentic industrial finish, and combined with reclaimed scaffold wood which was hand-finished to keep the original character of the planks.

Kinsale project

Looking to furnish a new holiday home in Kinsale, Co. Cork, the clients asked us to create a number of bespoke pieces that would follow a clean modern industrial aesthetic.
A high table that functioned both as a dining table and work desk, and a shelving unit to match, where the shelves could be repositioned as required. We also provided a solid desk surface to go with a height adjustable standing desk frame purchased by the client.

Custom Headboard

A custom made headboard was designed and made for the main bedroom. The design followed the style of the shelving unit and high table with solid ash and polished steel frame. Birch plywood was introduced bringing a modern feel and lightness to the piece. The functional design created a platform for reading lamps and open shelf storage space for books and phones.

Murphy Bed

Looking to the future and the idea of planning for some longer working holiday trips in Kinsale, the clients were looking for a high quality, modern in style, Murphy bed.

This would allow one of the rooms to be used as a nice office space, without sacrificing the option of a spare bedroom. Extra storage space was also integrated into the design.

A high quality folding bed mechanism that works on a gas piston was used, which gives a smooth and easy opening and closing action. Heavy duty folding brackets were used for the desk.
