Classical elegance
Inspired by bedside furniture spotted on ‘The Crown’ series, we were asked by a client to design a set of bespoke bedside tables that would be based on a similar style and function.
The idea was for a pair of slim decorative opened-shelved units that could provide space for reading lamps on top and books and accessories underneath. Along with function, aesthetics and materials were important.
A combination of dark walnut with light maple was used, and subtle brass detailing incorporated. The choice of materials, and the slim delicate proportions and soft rounded corners created a modern elegant design with a strong nod to the classical.

Walnut and maple veneer, solid brass, solid walnut.
Autumn Leaf cabinet
This client subsequently purchased our Autumn Leaf cabinet, a special one-off piece made for an exhibition. A beautiful distinctive cabinet that adds character to a space. The peeled-back door detail provides an interesting quirky design element and also serves as a handle, transforming the simple operation of opening the door into a more interesting user experience.
The piece is made to a very high standard of cabinetry using a variety of decorative veneers and solid wood dovetail soft-close drawers.

Mixed decorative veneers including maple, rippled maple, rosewood, red elm burl and a solid mahogany-stained beech frame.

Audrey Tallgirl cabinet
The Audrey was another addition to our client’s collection.
The ‘tallgirl’ design was a concept that provides a tall shelved unit for storing cherished items like hats and bags and offers an alternative to the traditional tallboy drawer unit.
In this Art Deco inspired version, a shimmering quilted maple veneer provides the backdrop for the inlaid dark Indian laurel veneer which forms the silhouette of Audrey Hepburn’s character from Breakfast in Tiffiny's.
